IP Interoperability Zone demo, showing its SMPTE 2059 timing and AES67 audio capability.
Hall 8, Stand D10 – IP Interoperability Zone
New this year, the IBC IP Interoperability Zone demonstrates verified technical interoperability over IP.
Bringing to life the work of the Joint Task Force on Networked Media, the new zone showcases the reality of this technology and the alignment of the industry to one common roadmap.
With interoperability from over 30 diverse companies demonstrated, you can engage directly with the advances in Timing, Transport and Registration & Discovery as part of your visit.
In the same zone, you will also be able to observe a live TV production embracing this technology and see the unified standards roadmap in action thanks to Belgian broadcaster VRT in conjunction with EBU.
“Even just a few months ago, the whole field of IP and interoperability was an alphabet soup of seemingly unrelated organisations,” said Michael Crimp, CEO of IBC. “By creating a dedicated zone at this year’s IBC, we are delighted to make a space to show what has been achieved and the standards around which everyone can group.”
